This course is designed to give guides an in-depth overview of rescue skills for the multi-pitch rock environment. By observing, understanding, and practicing the rescue components, you’ll also learn how to connect the parts to then perform the AMGA 50min rock rescue drill. Please plan 3-4 hours for completion.

This course includes: 

• 3 hours of instruction catered to climbing and ski guides.
• Hands-on practice sessions to be done at the end of modules.
• Assessments that must be completed before moving on to the next module.

   

Equipment list:

• 5 locking carabiners
• 6 non-locking carabiners
• 1 cordelette
• 1 auto blocking or plaquette style belay device
• 4 slings (any size from prusik loops up to 48" slings)
